Purchase and trade-in of Soka Buddhist altars

At Sakuraume Tori.com, we receive feedback from customers who want to dispose of their Buddhist altars but would like us to buy or collect them.
We receive a lot of requests. Our store values the requests of our customers and purchases and collects Buddhist altars.

In our store, we receive many requests such as "I'm moving to a new house and the altar won't fit," or "I'm living with my parents,

Please note that our Buddhist altar purchase service only applies to Soka Gakkai Buddhist altars.
In addition, there are regulations for purchases, so if you are interested, please be sure to read them to the end before contacting us.

*When requesting a purchase, please tell us a brief reason why you would like to purchase the Buddhist altar.

Purchase regulations

・It is a Soka Gakkai Buddhist altar.

・The cabinet doors must be electrically opened and closed (those that do not operate manually or due to a malfunction are not included)

・The altar must be purchased within the last 15 years.

- The item is your own property or has been entrusted with your ownership

・There are no loans or other obligations

- No scratches or white spots on the paint

- Items with all Buddhist altar accessories (we can still purchase without the accessories, but the appraisal will be lower)

*We may not be able to purchase your Buddhist altar even if it was purchased within the last 15 years. Please send us a photo first.

Not eligible for purchase (Buddhist altars subject to fee-based disposal)

- Buddhist altars belonging to entities other than the Soka Gakkai will not be purchased but will be disposed of for a fee.
・Altars with scratches, peeling paint, or that have been stored in a warehouse for a long time
・In addition, it is possible to dispose of the Buddhist altar for a fee.
*This does not include deities, memorial tablets, portraits, or personal belongings.
*If you are making a request from someone who is not a member of the Soka Gakkai, please be sure to let us know by phone .

Below are some rough guideline purchase prices for various types of Buddhist altars.
Please choose the shape and type of your current Buddhist altar from the reference photos below.

A Type	This is a furniture-style Buddhist altar. It is the most popular item in our store. Currently, it is mainstream. This simple Buddhist altar looks great in a living room or Japanese-style room.
B Type	This is a storage altar in the shape of a shrine. It is the second most popular item in our store. The sutra desk is retractable so it doesn't take up much space. It is currently the mainstream.
C Type	This is a Buddhist altar with a sutra desk and a cabinet. It is the third most popular item in our store. This is a large type of Buddhist altar with a sutra desk and flower stand. It is popular with people who live in bases where they can secure a Buddhist altar space.

Purchasing process

1. Please read the above purchase regulations, add us as a friend via the LINE purchase form banner below, and fill out the purchase form.
*If you don't have LINE, you can also send photos to the email address info@oubaitori.com.

2. After you fill out the LINE purchase form, we will reply via LINE within 2 business days to let you know whether we can purchase the item.

3. If we are able to purchase the item, we will notify you of the provisional appraisal price via LINE.

4. If you agree with the provisional valuation amount, we will inform you of the purchase procedure (scheduling and how to pack the Buddhist altar equipment, etc.) via LINE. Please confirm the procedure, print out the purchase agreement, sign and stamp it, and then place the purchase agreement and a copy of your driver's license or health insurance card in the drawer of the Buddhist altar.

5. Once the altar arrives at our store, we will carry out a formal appraisal and transfer the amount minus Yamato's delivery fee.

*Please be sure to fill in the required fields when answering the LINE purchase form.

*The provisional appraisal amount is a guideline. The actual appraisal amount will be determined once the altar arrives at our store and we have made a final appraisal.

*The appraisal amount may increase or decrease depending on the condition of the altar.

*If there are any scratches that cannot be repaired or if the electric opening and closing mechanism is broken, etc., a disposal fee will be charged and you will be charged the disposal fee.

*We use Yamato Home Delivery to collect your items, so this can be done nationwide (excluding Okinawa and remote islands).

*We do not accept delivery (bringing in, etc.) using services other than Yamato Home Delivery.

*We do not provide on-site appraisals.

*Please rest assured that Yamato will handle the packaging of the altar itself.
