Buddhist altar disposal fee regulations
1. Our paid Buddhist altar disposal service is limited to the Buddhist altar and attached Buddhist accessories.
2. The condition for Yamato to pick up the Buddhist altar is that two people can carry it.
3. We cannot pick up the item if it cannot be removed from the room or if a crane or other equipment is required.
4. We cannot accept altars whose combined height, width and depth exceed 400cm.
5. You must be present on the day of pickup.
6. Items other than candles, incense, incense ash, and Buddhist altar implements should be disposed of in the general household waste collection area of your city or town.
7. We cannot accept glass items, so please dispose of them as general household waste in your city or town.
8. Please remove fluorescent lights and light bulbs from the altar and dispose of them in the general household waste of your city or town.
9. We cannot accept books. Please dispose of them as recyclable waste at your local municipality.
10. Please leave the altar empty and wrap all Buddhist altar implements in newspaper or similar and place them all together in a box or bag.
*Yamato will pack the altar and sutra desk, so there is no problem leaving them as they are.
11. We cannot accept Soka Gakkai Honzons (hanging scrolls)
(We will not accept requests from those who do not know what the Gohonzon is.)
*If there are any funeral photographs, memorial tablets, etc. that were not included in the application after the item arrives at our store, we will invoice you separately at a later date.
[Yamato Home Delivery Service Details]
1. Collection areas are within the nationwide coverage area of Yamato Home Delivery.
2. We will make all arrangements for collection by Yamato Furniture Delivery Service.
*We do not accept deliveries (such as bringing items in) using methods other than Yamato Home Delivery.
3. A member of the furniture delivery team will call you in advance on the day of collection. (As this is a free service, we may not be able to call you.)
If you do not receive a phone call, please contact the Yamato Home Delivery call center directly at 0120-008-008.
4. On the day of collection, two furniture delivery staff will visit you and pack and deliver the specified altar and Buddhist altar accessories.
5. Please give the altar a simple cleaning.
If you have any Buddhist altar items, please discard any ashes from incense sticks, clean them up, and wrap them in newspaper or similar beforehand.
Please note that glass on the sutra desk will not be collected.
*If you need to make any changes to the collection date and time after your order has been placed, please contact the Yamato Home Delivery call center directly at 0120-008-008.
6. After receiving the altar, we will check it and dispose of it appropriately after the memorial service once we have collected several pieces.
*Please confirm, understand and agree to the Yamato Home Convenience service regulations before placing your order.
*Please do not make payment before receiving the individual email from our store.
*Please be sure to contact us if the applicant's name and the remitter's name are different.
*If you do not receive any contact after confirming your payment, please be sure to call us to confirm.
*If the size of the altar exceeds our expectations after we ask about its height, width, and depth, we may charge you a higher price than the rank required by regulations. Please be aware of this before entering into a contract.
*According to Yamato Transport's household goods delivery regulations, the actual weight must be 150 kg or less.
[Yamato Transport Household Goods Delivery Size Regulations]
This service is available if the product specifications meet the following handling sizes.
Size: We can handle it if it meets the following three conditions: (1) The total of the width, depth, and height must be 400 cm or less.
(2) The longest side must be 250 cm or less. (3) If the top and bottom are defined, the height must be 200 cm or less.
*However, if any of the following conditions apply, it will take some time for delivery.
(1) The total length of the three sides must be 350 cm or more. (2) The longest side must be 180 cm or more. (3) The top and bottom must be fixed and the width must be 100 cm or more.
(4) The height of the object is 180 cm or more and the top and bottom are fixed. (5) Two or more sides exceed 100 cm.
*If Yamato Home Delivery inspects the items at your home and determines that they cannot be transported, we will not be able to collect and dispose of the items, so we will provide a refund and terminate the contract.
*If Yamato Home Convenience determines that the road is too narrow to reach the home where the Buddhist altar is located, we will be unable to collect and dispose of the items and will provide a refund and terminate the contract.
If you are unable to pick up the item on the scheduled date due to the reasons stated above, we will not be liable for any damages or responsibility that may arise.
*If the desired pick-up or removal date is approaching, we will not be responsible for any damages or responsibilities that may occur if you are unable to make it in time. Please make use of the service with plenty of time to spare.
*There are some areas where you cannot specify a time zone. Also, please note that even if we initially tell you that you can specify a time zone, it may turn out that you cannot specify a time zone after the contract is signed. (According to Yamato Home Goods Delivery regulations)
*If the size of the item differs from what was stated in advance after it arrives at our store, we will charge you the difference. You will be obligated to pay the amount charged by our store. You will be responsible for any necessary fees, document issuing fees, bank transfer fees, etc.
(If we are unable to contact you, we may ask our legal adviser, the Very Best Law Firm, to handle the matter after sending a certified letter. The customer will be responsible for the postage, legal fees, and other charges.)
Please only apply and sign a contract if you agree to the above.
Once you have made the payment, you will be deemed to have agreed to the above terms.

4. Once we have confirmed your payment, we will arrange for Yamato to pick up the item on your desired pickup date.
5. Please make sure there is nothing inside the altar by the collection date, and wrap the Buddhist altar implements in newspaper or similar and place them all together in a box or bag.
*Yamato will pack the altar and sutra desk, so there is no problem leaving them as they are.
*According to Yamato Home Convenience regulations, items that cannot be transported by two people will be canceled.
*We cannot accept items that cannot be brought in and out through the normal entrance. We also cannot accept items that cannot be carried up stairs or using a crane.
