Koga City, Ibaraki Prefecture mayoral election: Komeito endorsed candidate Hariya Chikara is a wonderful person
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to listen to the speech of Komeito-endorsed candidate Hariya Chikara in the Ibaraki Prefecture Koga City mayoral election in my hometown. First, his wife and daughter got into the campaign car, and then he got out of the campaign car and shook hands with each participant politely and humbly. You can get a good idea of what kind of person someone is when you meet them in person. The content of his speech was also wonderful.
I was impressed by the results and the policies based on future financial resources, rather than the sales pitch.
Due to the fact that Komeito has reduced the city's debt over the past two terms, and realized many of the policies of Komeito members, Komeito's endorsement was given to him for the first time in this mayoral election. The city administration before that was terrible, full of self-interest. Mr. Hariya honestly presented policies that could be entrusted to the present and future of Koga City, and he spoke of specific plans to create achievements that have been approved by the national government, to stimulate the economy of Koga City, and to improve the living environment for the younger generation.
I myself will seriously and strongly promote Hariya Chikara in this mayoral election.
Most residents are probably aware that there is a huge gap between his performance and that of other candidates, but the reality is that they are caught up in various constraints and it is difficult to truly focus on the happiness and security of the residents as a whole.
Democracy means that leaders are chosen through elections, but we are also living in an age where the standard of civility is being called into question.
I would like those who aspire to enter politics to remember the Komeito Party's true purpose of being "together with the people," to examine their attitude toward life with integrity, not lose the ability to listen to even the smallest voices, and to run for the election with respect for the cause of the people as their first priority.
