I moved from Tokyo to Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture, in the spring of my second year of junior high school. I joined the junior high school division in Ushiku right away, and then moved on to the high school division, where I was able to spend my time in the Soka Gardens during my time as a member of the Mirai-bu. In 1973, at the Ibaraki Prefecture Sports Festival, I saw Ikeda Sensei playing table tennis, and I also attended the commemorative photo session.
