Gosho as a Family: Rissho Ankoku Ron, Part 2 (page 26): Why don't we live our lives based on the Gosho and the happiness of ourselves and others?

Excerpted from the preface of the new edition of the Complete Works of Nichiren Daishonin's Gosho by Ikeda Sensei. The Gosho has been translated into more than ten languages. Now, not only in Japan but also in the five continents of the world, it is common to see people of all ages and genders joyfully studying the Gosho and encouraging each other. It is read widely, transcending civilization, nationality, race, ethnicity, culture and language, and is actively put into action in the home, community and society, spreading the solidarity of good global citizens. I am convinced that this fact is a great proof of the universality and validity of Nichiren Buddhism. One of the common characteristics of world religions is that they base their faith on the scriptures, take pride in them, and make them the foundation of their faith. It is common to see people of all ages and genders joyfully studying the Gosho and encouraging each other. It means that we read the Gosho on a regular basis. Let's do this in our home too!
